We are excited to announce the “Joanna’s Fun Run/Walk – Around The World In 5k” is set for June 22, 2024. The 5k walk/run will submerge you in a journey through different cultures from around the world. At each kilometer, you will encounter the music of various countries, ranging from bagpipes in Ireland to mariachis in Mexico to accordions in Italy to bouzouki in Greece and Cyprus. You will be welcomed at the finish line with an abundance of fun and entertainment. Food booths from around the world will take your tastebuds on a cultural journey. This event combines fitness, entertainment, and fun while raising awareness for epilepsy with Joann Sophia’s spirit of fun and adventure leading the way! #letjoannainspireyou

The timed 5km fun walk / run will start from Saint Nicholas and end in Holy Cross Church in Whitestone.
The 5 km route will be lined with entertainment and fanfare. At the finish there will be bbq, drinks, entertainment,music and more
Finally “Joannas Fun Run/Walk – Around The World In 5k” has been set for June 24th, 2023. Your 5k walk/run will submerge you in a journey through different cultures from around the world. At every kilometer you will be exposed to the music of different countries – from bagpipes of Ireland, mariachis of Mexico, accordions of Italy, bouzouki of Greece and Cyprus, etc. You will be welcomed at the finish line with an abundance of fun, and entertainment. There will be food booths from around the world taking your tastebuds on a cultural journey. from all over the world me event is to get fit, have fun and enjoy all the amazing entertainment. @letjoannainspireyou

It has been two years since our daughter became our angel. Not a minute goes by that we don’t think of her silly humor and her giggling moments with her siblings. What used to be our normal Friday family night, where everyone would enjoy a movie and feel comfort in silence is no longer there. Our wish is for our children to maintain the innocence they had prior to our tragedy. For us, it would be a blessing for them to have that moment again, but the odds are not in our favor.
As parents we should be the guiding light for our families and rise up to inspire them and others to not let negativity bring them down. Rather, we strive to bring positivity in our lives and to encourage them to conquer anything that comes their way.
That being said, I Costa, Joanna’s dad, have decided to climb Mount Kilimanjaro with my sidekick George Isaakidis. It’s is the largest free standing mountain in the world. The purpose of this journey is to bring awareness of epilepsy and SUDEP.
